Can you payoff your Sunday Scaries?

Don't Let Monday Ruin Your Sunday

YOUR SUNDAY SEVEN?

This week's podcast guest, Joe Woodhouse (Chartered MCSI) , is here with a Sunday Scaries takeover!

?? If you haven't tuned into the episode yet, I highly recommend you do so.

Not only does Joe have fantastic advice on how to get your financial house in order, his engaging British Accent (a la Jamie Tartt) will make you want to A. listen, and B. watch more Ted Lasso.?

Here are Joe's suggestions on how to combat the Sunday Scaries and improve your work week!?

1. Review the previous week

Be honest with yourself. How did things go this past week? While we often want to stick our head in the sand and ignore things that don't go our way, there's a lot to learn from reflection.?

Here are a few specific prompts Joe recommends using to evaluate how things are?really?going.

?? 5 Biggest Wins of the Week

?? What worked well this week?

?? What could you have handled better?

??And if you were to experience this again, how would you handle it?

??A moment I really appreciated this week was…

??Review Last week’s “Key 3” (see #2 below) on a scale of 1-10

?

2. Create a Weekly “Battle Plan”

I'm a big fan of pre-planning and routines, so I love this suggestion to get ahead of the week by identifying:?

What “Key 3” things need to happen this week? What MUST you accomplish this week to progress outcomes, and WHEN should they be done (i.e. first, last, Thursday, etc.)??Then put it in your calendar!

Who are 3 People you?could send a note, gift, or just show appreciation to this week??

3. Have a Family Meeting

Sync on the week with your spouse, partner, kids, babysitters, and anyone else who helps maintain schedules and household happenings.?

Whether it's social commitments, the?gym, personal?appointments,?kids' stuff, or?date night (love that!),?plan it out and put EVERYTHING in the calendar.

?

4. Clear your inbox

?Inbox zero, huzzah!

Seriously though, I need to take this one to heart because I get serious inbox anxiety, and if you just clean it out - there's nothing to create anxiety! Boom!

5. Switch your phone off an hour before Bed

?Scientific studies show that turning off electronics an hour before bedtime will help you sleep better because?the blue light emission restrains the production of melatonin, the hormone that controls your sleep-wake cycle (aka circadian rhythm).?

Perhaps you could opt for a book instead??

6. Follow joe_familywealth101 on Instagram???

We love some shameless plugs around here!

Joe also has awesome social content with lots of value.?

7. Don't forget the moms in your life this week!

If you're looking for someone to celebrate, gift, or call this week (per the recommendation in #2), make it a mom!

Here's to a great week every week!
