Can you help Twycross Zoo?

Being so local, every member of the Fresh Logistics team has fond memories of visits to Twycross Zoo over the years. They perform a fantastic service, protecting and providing care to many critically endangered animals. It’s such a great and accessible family day out, suitable and fun for all ages and would be perfect in the weather we are currently experiencing. Unfortunately, due to the current global lockdown, they too have had to close their doors to the public.

We have been in touch with Twycross Zoo recently and, although the national focus has been principally on human survival, with no gate receipts or commercial takings the resources available to the animals and staff are starting to decrease. The costs to maintain the zoo and keep the animals safe and healthy continue, so we’d like to provide assistance where we can to keep this long serving, memory creating charity open and kept to do what they do best.

There are different ways you can help 

Firstly, if you are a food service, manufacturer or producer with excess stock then please get in touch with Neil Dorman -[email protected]. Neil has stated that in particular they are looking for fresh fruit and vegetables for the animals.

Secondly, if you would like to make a monetary donation or run your own fundraising scheme from home you can do so on the website -https://twycrosszoo.org/donate/. Here you will find examples of what your money will go towards and the costs involved.
