Can you get out of your own way and do the uncomfortable?
There was a time when I was referred to as Inmate 98352-408. I was property of the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) and no longer Megan. Everything that I was came down to those eight numbers 9-8-3-5-2-4-0-8.
How then, in a system that is built for recidivism, does one rise above the ashes and level up their life? The simple answer is focused connections.
I made the choice to do something different after Prison and sought mentors to guide me through this journey. I found people that had what I wanted and let them teach me all that they knew.
I stopped questioning the people that were trying to help me. I absorbed their energy and became everything they were. I began to shapeshift into the person I was always meant to be. The Goddess that has always been inside had free reign to emerge and consume the light.

Anyone that has gotten in my way is no longer in the picture. I was cutthroat about the people I was willing to have in my life. If you are not trying to better yourself, you're gone. Nothing has been left up to chance because we are the creators of the reality we want.
My focus today is building a new me, #prisonwarrior! An unstoppable force that seeks opportunities to help companies move and sell products, and at the same time, encourages other to never quit. To understand the value of patience and thinking about the consequences of their actions before they take them. Using my story to empower those that have no hope. Becoming the flame that ignites cosmic change.
I can see the power in connection, can you? Can you get out of your own way and do the uncomfortable? Stop taking the easy way out and put in the work! Will you use my story of Prison to Purpose and create the reality of your choosing?

1 年Megan, I’m in a place and time where it feels like I’m in a hole, looking up, trying to get out but, no matter what I do, the steps seem to come out from under me and I’m back where I started. I follow you and have been reading your posts. Today, I decided to check out your recovery center. Although I am not chemically dependent, I could use a good time away to recover from whatever ails my soul. I have to tell you, I am extremely encouraged by your posts. Your posts just may be the light someone sees to help lift them out of that place. Thank you, and keep sharing! God bless, W

2 年Yes! I often find that the things that make us the most uncomfortable are the moments that we embrace our own skin. We find ourselves and run our own lives. ??

2 年Probably no. One has to be very tough mentally to go through this journey in life.
