Can you feel it...

Have you ever been to a place where you can feel the history…

That’s how I felt visiting the 500 year old Grade B listed property on today’s site visit along with Joanne from GLM Architects.

The property we viewed had been used as a fort during the Jacobite rising of 1745 due to its strategic position on the forth, which also allows amazing views along the river to Stirling castle and Wallace’s Monument.

There was an old hinge from a traditional bread oven.

The beams in the attic were marked with Roman numerals.

While the building is in need of A LOT of work, the atmosphere of a well loved and busy farm house remains.

I hope we will be in a position to restore it to its former glory!
