Knowledge of God means the knowledge of all the remaining other than God. You can’t understand God through worldly logic, which deals with the rules of imaginable items of imaginable world. The unimaginable God can’t be understood by such worldly logic of items of creation following the will of God Himself. However, the worldly logic helps you in understanding all the worldly items and in rejecting any worldly item to be God.
What is not God is understood by logic so that you know that the remaining item (after rejecting all the items of the world) is the unimaginable God. Knowledge of God means the knowledge of all the remaining other than God, which is not God and by this, you get the true knowledge of God that God is unknown so far and unknowable forever. The name and form of any item of the world is unreal, but, the name and form of any medium of God is real since real God is merged with that medium.
The body of Shankara having specific name and form became real since real unimaginable God merged with it and hence unreal body became real and could pass through unreal bolted doors (unreal world). When a soul quits the human gross body (sthul sharir), the form and name of that human gross body come to the energetic body (sukshm sharir) also with which the soul leaves to the upper world. Here, there are two versions: 1) Sukskm sharir or energetic body forms at the time of death and 2) Sukshm sharir is around the soul while it is alive in the gross body since the soul is covered by gross (matter), subtle (energy) and causal (awareness) bodies. However, when the soul leaves the energetic body and enters a new human body here, the energetic body disappears and hence the name and form end there.
But, in the case of human incarnation leaving the human body to become eternal energetic incarnation maintains the transferred name and form of the human body forever through the eternal energetic incarnation and thus name and form of human incarnation also become real and eternal in the case of human incarnation. You should not generalize that every name and form is real or unreal. Similarly, soul in human incarnation is God and every ordinary soul in the world is not God. Hence, you should not also generalize that every soul is God or that every soul is not God.
Lord Krishna’s glories are endless, so you can never reach the end of them. Lord Brahma, god of creation, defines God thus - Krsna who is known as Govinda is the Supreme Godhead. He has an eternal blissful spiritual body. He is the origin of all. He has no other origin and He is the prime cause of all causes. => Brahma-samhita, 5.1 People often ask, why can't God be a She? And, indeed, He can, for in the Vedic Version the full manifestation of Godhead is as both male and a female - Radha and Krishna. Radha is the female aspect of God. They are one as the energetic and the energy.
Radha is Krishna's energy of bliss, meaning that all bliss in the world, both spiritual and material bliss come from Radharani or Her distortion, Maya. The goddess, Durgadevi or Maya, is Radharani's distorted transformation, meant for those souls who want to enjoy a material body. For those people She becomes the illusion of the material world. The material world is called illusion because it is temporary. It happens, so it's real enough, but because it is not lasting, it is considered unreal.
God is omnipotent, yet, does proper (Uchit) things only. This is important concept to understand the personality and behavior of God. Krishna has two illusions. They are both called Maya. One is Maha-maya. She is the goddess who governs the material worlds. Another one is Yoga-maya and She governs the spiritual worlds. Together they form the female aspects of God. So Krishna's illusory energy, Maya, mother Nature, is a woman. Maya's husband is Shiva.
Krishna never touches matter, but when he has to, He transforms into Shiva. Shiva is a transformation of Krishna and Maya is a transformation of Radha and through the union of Maya and Shiva, the material world is created. The spiritual world is not created, it is manifested forever by the union of Radha and Krishna. Thus, it is a funny thing about life - whether you want to be in the illusion of friends, family, society and love, or whether you want to wake up to reality, you need the help of God. As all surrender unto Me, I reward them accordingly. Everyone follows My path in all respects, O son of Prtha. => Bg 4.11
