CAN YOU BE COUNTED AMONG DILIGENT MEN?

The Bible has a lot to say about diligence but one that stands out is proverbs 22:29;

Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men

I believe you've heard of it as well.

A diligent man is a dedicated man who will reap the success of his dedication, focus and zeal concerning a cause.

95% if not 99% of men are not diligent.

Status something today and then? tomorrow, it's a new thing entirely.

Sounds familiar?

I've had my fair share of not being a diligent worker. I have started projects that I never had the zeal to continue— Became bored and jump into something else.

Then the cycle continues on to you begin to wonder what is wrong.

The most successful people are diligent men.

People who were able to follow through long-term consistency doing a particular business, working on a singular project and fine-tuning a main idea.

These people pulled through irrespective of:

• The numerous failures they encountered
• The number of rejections they got
• The insults and abuse from friends and family (At least these days lots of people tend to get their support of family and friends).

Anyways, the point is no matter the obstacle that came their way, they were diligent.

They stood on the course till they succeeded.

It's almost a decision had the desire to make an electric bulb because of a problem he had - he struggled to see with the oil lamp/candle light.

In these attempts to make a bulb he had many filled experiments/designs yet he didn't give up.

He was diligent on it for a long time teeth and they pulled it off.

Today he's been recognized for his invention.

His name will continually go down in history as the man who made electric bulb. Though the infection has been improved upon over time.

I have had the privilege to be on a team once I wanted to make a change in the world using technology to solve some everyday problems that we account are as humans.

Unfortunately they never worked out. WHY? because the brains behind those ideas pulled out at the start of the project thinking they would not be able to execute it.

Creating things excite me. I love to create. So when someone tells me that they want to invent something unique that could help people it gets me interested.

But then when they see what it takes to make those ideas come alive they begin to give excuses— a million reasons why it would not work.

Mark Zuckerberg said, ideas don't come fully formed. They come as you begin to work on them.

The reason many of us give up on our dreams is because we are looking at the big picture;

The gigantic watchtower or edifice and everything there in, that we forget Rome wasn't built in a day.

Aha! a perfect example would be Don Jazzy of Mavin records.

So I read on the internet that Universal music made an offer to buy 80% stake of Marvin records.

This is a record he started from scratch according to the information.

I could bet that when he started he didn't even have an office. But due to consistently building long term it has become an empire attracting foreign businesses/investors.

Building long-term pays.

Unfortunately most people can't pull through.

I bet it is the reason why you find it hard to build your business as a freelancer or startup.

It is it is not rocket science neither is it a walk in the park.

You have to put in consistent efforts else you may never stand before kings before - proverbs 22:29.

You make progress when you are moving.

HOW DO YOU BECOME DILIGENT IN YOUR BUSINESS?

• Know what you signed up for. Ask yourself, is it worth it?? Create a strong reason why it is. Find your answers and work with it.
• Understand your business model by studying how best it works. If it has been done before seek answers from those who succeeded.
• Study the success of others in your niche or not.
• Have a great mindset, you need it.
• Develop the act of focus and mind your business. Distractions will purge you if you are not careful.
• Have faith in your idea and yourself.
• If a strategy is not working try a new one.
• Source for funds and grants if need be.
• Seek the wisdom of the Holy Spirit.
• Treat your business like the only option you have.

So if you don't want to stand before mean men, you must put in the work of a diligent man.
