Can you believe it’s almost the end of October? Talk about a fright!

Are you coasting toward the finish line as the year winds down or feeling the crunch to do more? In past years, we’ve found ourselves here at BB balancing both, but one key lesson we've learned is that stress can hinder success.?

This October, we’re focusing on what truly matters: delivering exceptional work for our clients and streamlining our efforts for the rest of the year.

Below, we take a look at PayPal’s first brand refresh in over two decades, and give you a sneak peek into the new Club of United Business in Brisbane.?

PayPal Rebrands for the First Time in Decades

PayPal has decided to refresh its brand image, moving away from its iconic blue wordmark that has defined the company for over 20 years. The new logo features a sleek black wordmark designed by Pentagram's Andrea Trabucco-Campos, shedding past iterations' slanted text. This change comes when PayPal desperately needs to stand out and remain relevant in the fintech landscape.

The updated branding includes a streamlined colour palette consisting of just five hues and a custom typeface, PayPal Pro, a derivative of the cult-classic Futura. The familiar PayPal monogram has also been refined, and to us, it seems to be a nod to Venmo’s signature colours.

As part of its refresh, PayPal also rolled out animations to mimic everyday payment gestures and create a feeling of intuition in its user experience. We’ve popped the new branding below – what do you think? We think it’s a winner.

Opening of Club of United Business Brisbane?

Club of United Business has recently launched in Brisbane, and Mike couldn’t be happier! The truth is, outside some of the old boys' clubs and very sales-focused groups, it can be difficult to network with other business owners in Brisbane, especially post-2020.

After looking on with envy at several of our past and present clients enjoying their time at CUB Sydney and Melbourne, it's no surprise he was among the first members when they announced the Brisbane clubhouse.

So, what is CUB? It’s a diverse group of business owners who get together at least once a month for social and structured networking. CUB has a great new clubhouse on Mary Street, and you will probably see a lot of it in our socials from now on.

For Mike, CUB is about meeting new people, sharing the journey, and enjoying it. The plan is to enjoy connecting to new people and hopefully learn plenty about their success and otherwise.

Here's a throwback to the CUB Brisbane opening with our good friend and founder of Rayne Legal, Celeste. Are there any other CUB members here? Give us a shout!
