Can We Live Without Our Self Ego?
After reading this title, aren't you reminded of someone who may have pointed out your ego?
AHAHAHA! It happens..
It’s the ego that often leads the chase, isn’t it? Always wanting more, never content.
But isn’t our ego just trying to protect us? To build a life of respect and success?True, but at what cost? The ego can blind us to the beauty of simplicity, to the joy of giving, to the peace of just being.
I’ve heard people say we should live without ego. But is that really practical? Don’t we need it to survive in this world?
Perhaps it’s not about living without it, but rather not letting it control us. Recognizing its voice but not always following its commands. That sounds difficult. How do we even begin to do that?
By listening more to me, to us. Understanding that we are more than our titles, our possessions, our achievements. And what would we gain from such a life?
Freedom. The freedom to love without conditions, to share without expecting, to connect deeply with others and the world around us.
It’s a beautiful thought. But will the world accept such a person?
The world might not, but that’s the ego’s concern. Ours is to be true, to be kind, to be whole. The rest will follow.
