Can We Learn Our Lesson?

If we don't learn our lesson from this latest school shooting, it will be really sad. There were at least ten different authorities there. And yet, it took an hour until they knew how to respond. All the hysterics of the parents outside, or the kids calling 911 from inside didn't help. It's clear to me why this happened. The moment there are a few authorities that have to work together - they don't know how. We are not familiar with this way of doing things because it's never been done properly in our world. It's a completely new way of thinking and it's going to take time for us to get there.

So at the moment we need to make our own conclusions and at least try to implement them in our own environment - at least take some of these lessons to heart. I'm not talking about gun control laws. Those things need to happen of course but this is only an addition to the main thing. The main thing is getting past the idea of managing our lives on an individual basis, which is a very limited space. In that mode we're really only concerned with the few square feet around us, and we don't really care what's beyond that. This is why there is no part of our lives where we're not getting negative reactions.

In that mode we're really only concerned with the few square feet around us, and we don't really care what's beyond that. This is why there is no part of our lives where we're not getting negative reactions.

Where does the business world come into this? All our development has been around the same foundation - the economy. Since we wanted to advance and make money we went through all these revolutions, right up to today's technological shift. As a result of this progress we're breaking through the borders between nations and countries - and this helps us develop in other parts of our lives, such as culture, education, sports, etc. Up till now this happened naturally. But from now on we'll need to invest more thoughts and desires in this direction, and especially learning the principles of a reciprocal system.

No one has to run and make any major external changes, or run to fix the world, or try to be a knight in shining armor like Elon Musk. We can see that all these things don't work anymore. The world is not improving.

But from where you are, in your company, you can start developing a reciprocal environment that learns to combine all the various elements. First of all bring all the departments in your company together, R&D, HR, marketing, legal, accounting, and teach them to connect in a common way since everyone has a single goal - the success of the business. And as long as it succeeds through collaboration rather than the brilliance of one genius, we all benefit from a new attitude to life that allows each of us to gain far more than we did as individuals. This is about learning to truly thrive compared to the current limited system where each of us can only succeed to a certain extent. Through this more advanced type of collaboration we actually acquire abilities that don't exist us as individuals. So we'll be more creative and talented, we'll all add more value to the company, and work will be a lot more fun and engaging. We'll sense how our augmented success comes from our augmented connection and focus on constantly strengthening it. Our professional success will be directly tied to our social success and this is really breakthrough thinking.

Through this more advanced type of collaboration we actually acquire abilities that don't exist us as individuals. So we'll be more creative and talented, we'll all add more value to the company, and work will be a lot more fun and engaging.

This is why I'm always talking about applying the integral method how the private sector will lead this process, because companies have the most to gain from the new era. Global companies are especially well positioned to benefit from this new way of working together. They only have to be organized properly by experts who will pass the reigns back over to the management team within a few months. Applying the principles of reciprocal thinking is what will take a company into the new era in the most beneficial manner.

So for leaders who want to be ahead of the pack and learn new ways to add value - this is the key. Your success will serve as an example for other companies and these ideas will start spreading.

The Butterfly Effect

We can't continue to ignore the lesson from these very tragic events. The world is becoming smaller every day. The pandemic brought us all closer together, the war brought us all closer together, and throughout all these external changes we're all changing on the inside as well. We're not the same people we were a couple of years ago. We're starting to see how anything that happens in the world isn't happening "over there" anymore in some far-off place. Whatever is happening is connected to the whole world. So we need to start doing something in the new direction and it will spread.

So Much Guessing

What's happening in reality? Leaders don't really know what to do so they're just doing whatever sounds good such as doubling salaries, announcing unlimited vacation time, hybrid conditions, paternity leave for all kinds of situations whether it's giving birth, adopting a child, or getting a pet - and for both mother and father. And the list goes on and on. No one really knows what the right thing to do is.

It's the difference between having a collective decision-making mechanism in place, or relying on the outdated decision-making systems that are no longer working.

If you were one of those 19 cops in the hallway waiting for a key, and you knew your child was inside with the killer, would you wait for 40 minutes? Would you have to think about what the right thing to do is? The answer is simply no. If it was your child inside you would break that door down in less than a second. And I'm not blaming those cops. I blame us all for these tragedies - our broken society. It's the difference between having a collective decision-making mechanism in place, or relying on the outdated decision-making systems that are no longer working.

What is this newsletter of mine really about? It's about how we get from this lowest of lowest points in our human development, to a point where we understand the need to change. Where we become willing to change. Not because any of us really want to, but because we understand we have to change to make our world safe.

For our economy to thrive we need a stable environment where workers don't have to worry about their family members. We need our institutions to be able to function in the most beneficial way for everyone. And for that to happen, we will need to begin applying the integral method at all levels of society, starting with the private sector that will lead the way.
