Can we create or destroy electrons?

First of all we need to understand what is actually law of conservation of charge means?


Conservation of charge or any quantity simply refers to that quantity would remains constant during any process. We have already known that charge has magnitude but no direction, like property of scalar quantity so it can be operated by Algebraically. So this law states that the algebraic sum of the net charges of universe or an isolated system are conserved or what we say constant.


It is not possible to create or destroy charge individually as it violates this law which is experimentally established.


But Sometimes nature creates charged particles: a neutron turns into a proton and an election. The proton and electron thus created have equal and opposite charges and the total charge is zero before and after the creation. Though it first seems that nature created a charge but at length the total charge remains constant or what we say conserved. Charge can be created or destroyed but in pairs that we called as pair annihilation.


This also leads a dynamic concept that charge of the present universe is equal to the charge produced at the time of the origin of the universe.
