Meta Hits Pause on Using Personal Data for AI

After some controversy over using users' information for its AI tools, Meta has decided to stop using EU user data for AI development.?

Initially, Meta argued they had a “legitimate interest” in the data use, but pressure from privacy groups and EU regulators led to a change. Users were previously given a complex opt-out option, but seems like Meta’s approach will change.

Can TikTok Replace Google?

Seems like a long shot at the moment. But the truth is, people are redefining their relationship with search engines, with TikTok emerging as an unexpected contender.?

This shift is even more pronounced among younger generations, with 64% of Gen Zers and 49% of millennials saying they’ve used TikTok as a search engine. And even more striking, nearly 1 in 10 Gen Zers preferred TikTok over traditional giants like Google for their search needs.

I just fell in love with the Instagram post below from a specialty beer shop in Hong Kong called Craftissimo and the video that Konrad Chan made for them.

We’re so bombarded with content all the time that it is really strange to encounter something that feels authentic and fresh.

This brand mimicked Google Maps navigation with a simple trick, and the result is amazing.

I can see this everywhere very soon.
