Can sense travel faster than light?

Albert Einstein in his special theory of relativity states that absolutely nothing travels faster than the speed of light. He also states that if at any point of time, this theory proves to have certain contradictions, the whole classical mechanics and the way we understand the world changes. Since its release in 1905, it’s been over a century but this fact has stayed intact. Scientists are working towards finding an entity that may travel faster than the speed of light but presently, no potential result is out there.

However, instead of searching for particles, what if there is a vibe, a wave, a sense in particular, that could travel faster than the speed of light?

Now, one might think of sense as something that originates inside one’s own self, as senses are generally linked to one’s mind. But, as we see something when light from that object reflects and hits our eye, similarly the ‘sense’ wave can be considered as originating from the object and upon hitting us, it makes us feel the presence of that object around us.?

This article could give a light to the possibility that our senses travel faster than anything, even the speed of light.

Consider the first example: You’re in a room surrounded by darkness. You sense an object to be within your vicinity but as yet, light from that object has not reached you. It can be referred to as intuition or gut feeling but scientifically it is just a sense (or sixth sense). Considering the initial conditions for both light and sense as t=0, we observe that the sense perceived to us coming from that source reaches faster to our conscience than the speed of light. Hence, we can also say that the event of sensing that object (let it be event A) lies in the future region of the light cone diagram which further proves that we are able to sense it before seeing it and this can only be possible if the speed of sense is not confined by the straight-line bounded by speed of light i.e., speed of sense is greater than speed of light.

Consider the sense of love: There is always a deeper meaning, a deeper connection you feel to the person you love. There are times when an event is scheduled for the future, for example let it be you going out for a movie instead of attending the class and suddenly there is a call, a call from your mom at the very exact moment when you were planning to lie to her. What do you think it is? Some may say it’s just a feeling or some sort of coincidence, some may also refer to it as the motherly affection but the fact is that this is a sense that reaches the object and affects his future scenarios way before the observer experiences it. The sense of love traveled faster than the actual event and hence the speed of light boundaries stays undefined. This sense of love can also be seen in twin pairs who can even know what song is being played in their brother/sister’s mind before they even sing.

One might think that light is constant whereas sense is subjective and hence can’t be equated. As a matter of fact, even light is subjective. We see a particular object and are able to characterize it only on the basis of the sensitivity of our eyes. How an object reflects is solely its own property and how we see it is our own capability. Likewise, the sense wave traveling from an object is constant and defines its own property but the way we regard it or act upon it will completely change from person to person. In a nutshell, occurrence or non-occurrence of an event can be termed as subjective but the fact that both the waves initiate at same time will remain constant and its study validated. Thus, both light and sense can be equated.

The sense can only be felt and acted upon if you truly trust the energies around you. If you let your sense guide you, it can actually help or change the way you lead your life which is scientifically proven as per this article as it could really travel faster than speed of light and what is called telepathy is actually just a game of conscience. Sense traveling faster than anything results to be the fastest as well as strongest of all things known so far.

Quite engrossing.. It's a good concept
