Can Persons With Convicted Records, Multiple Misdemeanors, or An Outstanding Warrant Enter Federal Facilities or Military Installations?
Not everyone attempting to entering a Federal Facility or Military Installation has ever had a Felony Conviction, multiple misdemeanors, or outstanding warrants; but some folks do. So make sure to check what instructions, policies, and regulations apply in your own circumstances.
Without obtaining a waiver in advance for installation or facility access directly from the Base Installation Commander, Commanding Officer, or Facility's Security Office, some locations will continue to deny access, and place restrictions on individuals with Convicted Records and multiple misdemeanors; regardless of the length of time that has passed beyond the actual incident date.
Example: Read via the web link below on pages 11-12, of Fort Bragg's Memorandum 190-13, dated 06 June 2014:
Most people won't ever have any issues regarding this; but for those individuals that do, make sure the folks attempting to bring you onto a Federal Facility, Military Installation, or other similar location, are aware of your past. This won't be held against you, but it will allow them to seek and obtain a waiver prior to your arrival; as well as make alternative arrangements when a waiver cannot be granted.
