Can People Get Away with it? Re. Surah Al-Anaam:

Can People Get Away with it? Re. Surah Al-Anaam:

1.    Introduction:               Often we feel that a few people just get away from torment of Allah SWT. But HE has taught that we must not deny truth and if we do, then we cannot escape punishment.

2.    Surah Al-Anaam, verse no. 147:    “Again if they belie you say you, 'your Lord is of extensive mercy and His torment is not turned aside from the guilty people” (6/147).

3.    A Criminal is Aware of his Crime:          A thief tries to run away from police, because he knows that he has committed a crime. It is because, Allah SWT has given adequate knowledge to everyone to differentiate between the good and evil. So if someone is not doing justice, then he will taste punishment.

4.    Surah Al-Anaam, verse no. 148:    “Now the polytheists say, 'if Allah had willed, we would not have committed polytheism, neither our fore-fathers, nor had We forbidden anything.' In the same manner belied those who were before them until they tasted Our torment. Say you, 'Have you any knowledge that you bring it forth to us? You are only behind your conjecture and without nothing you estimate” (6/148).

5.    Worldly Life is a Test:          This world is a trial, as it was very easy for Allah SWT to provide guidance to all humans. Whereas, HE wants to see that how many of us can refrain ourselves from evil deeds and follow the straight path.

6.    Surah Al-Anaam, verse no. 149:    “Say you, 'then the argument of Allah is conclusive; so if He had wished, then. He would have guided you all'” (4/149).

7.    Do not Move with the Crowd:                 We may always find majority towing the worldly line. But, we must distance ourselves from evil and should not become a part of prevailing ills, as otherwise we will become partner in crime.

8.    Surah Al-Anaam, verse no. 150:                      “Say you, 'Bring your those witnesses who testify that Allah has forbidden this, 'then if they testify, then you O listener! Bear not witness with them, and follow not the desires of those who belie Our signs, and who believe not in the Hereafter, and they ascribe equals to their Lord” (6/150).

9.    World is a Prison:                 Just like in a prison one is restricted by concrete walls and steel bars, similarly the principles defined by Islam curtail our free movement. We have been given strict boundaries and we must restrain our desire to remain in those parameters. Otherwise, we will be at a loss and destroy our lives here and in hereafter.

10.                       Surah Al-Anaam, verse no. 151:    “Say you, 'Come I will rehearse to you what your Lord has forbidden to you, 'that you associate not anyone with Him, and that you do good to parents, and that you kill not your children because of poverty. We shall provide for you and for them, and that you approach not shameful deeds whichever them is open and whichever is hidden; and slay not unjustly the life which Allah has made sacred. This has He ordered you that you may understand (6/151).

11.                       Trials of Life:               Every soul has been given a different set of abilities and accordingly he is being tested. But no one will be burdened more than the capacity he possesses, therefore we have to utilize our strength to the maximum to face trials and to remain steadfast.

12.                       Surah Al-Anaam, verse no. 152:    “And do not approach the property of the orphans but in the best way, until he reaches the maturity and fill up the measure and weight with justice. We burden no soul but to its capacity, and when you speak, then say just, event though it be a matter of your relative, and fulfill the covenant of Allah. This He has en-joined you strictly that haply you may accept admonition (6/152).

13.                       Straight path is the Successful Path:                 In view of the above, we have must only concentrate on our deeds, as we do not know how the other soul is being tested?

14.                       Surah Al-Anaam, verse no. 153:    “And that, this is My' straight path, then follow it and follow not other paths for they will deviate you from His path. This He has ordered you that haply you may be self-restrained” (6/153).

May Allah SWT help & guide us all (Aameen).
