Can People Change? Is It Something Worth Waiting For?

The only thing in life that we can actually count on is change. We have the power of choice for change. The storms in our life come as a result of bad choices; we reap the consequences.
We don't like to change our habits; even if that habit is not good for us. We enjoy eating the junk foods, spending money when we know we shouldn't, and not saving money when we learn about a new product or service that is more beneficial for less money.
In my studies about holistic health I learn about other options for eliminating or curing disease. We certainly need our doctors, but many times those prescription medications are more harmful than the reason we take them.
We all want to make more money, but it requires work needed for more discipline or a change of habit. So what's the problem here? Is it our mindset or ego? We know what we know and we don't want to open our minds to a better easier way.
An example of resistance to change concerns my dog Harlow. I found a product that repels fleas, ticks other harmful insects, and eliminates those harmful pills required each month. This product costs me about $17.00 a year. I was paying $50.00 a month for flea medications.
When I saw the results of this product, I wanted to share it with my friends. Much to my surprise I found that resistance over-powered their ability to change their mind-set from prescription flea medications to a nano-collar chip.
Their remarks were amazing. They were paying $50.00 a month for medication so they had no flea problem. A few people even said they never had a flea problem and didn't use anything to rid their pets of the fleas. Others told me stories about their pets dying from flea medications. Yet, no-one was willing to try the product, although it had a money back guarantee!
Because of the remarkable results of this product, I made the choice to become a distributor and sell the collar chip. After seeing the change in Harlow people are now using it and loving it. Their pets are healthier.
Have we become so pessimistic that we must see it to believe it? My only answer to this dilemma about change is close-mindedness with new technology other than for entertainment purposes.
Could this be the reason people continue to take prescriptions medications that have harmful side effects instead of looking into technology for answers to medical problems?
The resistance for change in people baffles me. I just don't get it. Life is change and sometimes change is a good thing.
The Phantoms of life's negativity hide in the shadows stealing our creativity given to us by a loving God. We have the key to unlock the door for a new change. Discovering the key is a simple process; we grow habits of gratitude and open-mindedness.
