Hi?from Vera
Let me ask you this: do you usually read the reviews before buying something?
For example, you are shopping online and you are about to buy a new book, a toy for your child, [you name it].
Do you feel the urge to read the reviews to make sure it's approved by others before putting the item into your cart?
Research has shown that reviews can immensely affect your decision-making.?
It happened to me the other day, too. As I was shopping for a gift, a sweet lady came next to me and told me "I've already bought this to a friend. Best gift ever she said!".?
I quickly grabbed it and headed for the till.
See? Peer reviews or feedback are crucial for taking a wise decision (whatever that means for anyone).
Research has also shown that reviews by others perhaps top the list of factors that affect buying behaviour.

We, humans, are wired to depend on our peers. It's in our DNA, from back in the day when our ancestors lived in a much more dangerous world than ours and needed a shortcut to their survival.
"So, what is peer coaching, Vera? And how can I benefit from it when it comes to boosting my Business English and confidence?" Follow me!
Can peer coaching help?with your Business?English? And how does that work?
Peer coaching is a process where two or more peers work together to reflect on current practices, expand, refine, and build new skills, share ideas, teach one another, or solve problems.
It can be structured in various ways but I have chosen to make it in?pairs of people or the whole group together.
Nothings takes place on auto-pilot, though.
An experienced facilitator (a coach, for example) is required to make sure that all the essential principles and rules are followed.
Here are some of them

5 ways you can benefit from English peer coaching
I have now incorporated peer coaching in my new services, coming out in early 2024, but pilot results are impressive (excited!)
Faster learning: participants learn from others, discover new ideas and practices they would not have thought of themselves, and apply everything to their learning on the spot.
New perspectives: the goal is common & everyone syncs with each other, how they approach their issues with English & how they can move forward. And that feels good.
Improved problem-solving: two minds are better than one. This is multiplied by a lot in a peer coaching session. Chances are you will all develop commonly accepted solutions to your challenges with English. Those solutions will actually work because they are the product of a collective effort.
Accountability: this is where most professionals struggle the most. Being a member of the peer coaching group helps you stay on track with the required changes and learnings. Consistency can work wonders.
More engagement & a sense of belonging: peer coaching binds people together, not around their common problems, but around a brighter future. It’s nurturing & it feels good to help others.
See? What more can you ask for?
I’m excited to tell you that peer coaching is now an integral part of my new ???????????????? ?????????????? ???????? ???????????????????? ?????????? ???????????????? ??????????????????!

1 年Trust and equality are essential if you want peer coaching to work. Otherwise, no one can trust what the other peer suggests and the diversity of input is gone.
As someone else commented, it's imperative to have a good facilitator to guide the participants through peer coaching.
