Can one man change the world?
Yes, in 2010 Chris White a Member of parliament suggested the concept of Social values as a procurement requirement when bidding for public contract, that all wining contractors should contribute 10% to community development across the 774 council across the United Kingdom, after 3 years of debate and justification it became a law "Social Value Act 2012" ensuring every public procurement process a section of valuation is added to qualify and assess a company policy of social value.
The value of the British procurement is about £300 billion and between 5-10% of that value is given to social causes generating millions of pounds every years to community development across all sectors of Britain.
This simple concept is generating millions of pounds, creating charity organisation, thousands of employment, opportunities and benefiting thousands of local community across Britain.
Individual effort can really change and shape a community bring sustainable development.
Thank you Christopher Mark Francis White MP for your contribution to humanity and your legacy shall shire more light to people across the world to develop similar concept .
