It is not appropriate to look to mobile/portable structures to understand how we can produce viable modular housing. Rarely will houses on one new development look identical to those on another estate. That is because they are adapted to the terrain and demand. But a particular model of car is universal to anywhere in the country. We have not addressed the issue of adaptability in modular housing, and that is a fatal flaw.
