Steve, this is a necessary topic of study. Due to declining enrollment, our MI school districts have been shrinking to the point that it may no longer make financial and educational sense to continue a district that is unable to provide quality instruction for area students. Add to this the teacher shortage challenge and it is clear consolidation should be considered.
