I’ve been watching the LinkedIn & Twitterfeed and seeing a few events with the “thoughtleaders” of the profession who to me are still behind and keep saying “we” (the profession) are not changing. Really! They obviously aren’t talking to the innovators. They are still meeting, yet I haven’t seen any new ideas come from their meetings. A lot of rehash, really of the changes that innovators created years ago. That they weren’t part of and even tried to stop.
Almost ten years ago when I started to change my firm it was because the world around me had changed and I rapid pro-typed my firm management techniques to apply to world around me.
I want to learn what other “firm” owners are doing to radicalize their firms. I don’t want to hear what the “thoughtleaders” think we should be doing. We as firm owners learn by doing, making a mistake and updating our process or service offering. Not by sitting around in a circle talking about we think actual firms owners are doing.
