“Can I get your opinion about this script?”

“Can I get your opinion about this script?”

A good question, but do we need more opinions about our future plans? Or, do we want to take action and see what works in real life?

Of course, it is fun to sit back, rest our feet and imagine the money rolling in. But if we're looking to build a business, it is the actions we take that will make the difference.

If we spend all of our time getting opinions, and never testing or getting experience with "live" prospects, then we might as well sit on a beach and continue dreaming.

Yes, we want to say and do better stuff. But let's not delay our activity indefinitely by waiting until we think everything is perfect. We need experience to start feeling comfortable with what we say and do.

We take action the best we know how for now, and then improve our actions based upon our real life experiences.

A powerful close with instant results. Magic words.

These four words get our prospects to think about their problems, and the consequences, and then to make decisions to take action, or not. See if we can pick out these four words from the following examples.

  • Are you okay with commuting to work in traffic until you are 65 years old?
  • Are you okay with living with no plans if you ever became ill or lost your job ?
  • Are you okay with relying on the state pension for your retirement?
  • Are you okay with the 3% guaranteed interest from the bank when inflation is 11% ?

Have we ever read a newspaper?

How do we read the newspaper? Do we start at the upper left-hand corner and read everything until we get to the bottom right-hand corner of the last page? I don’t think so. I bet we only read certain articles. And how do we choose which articles to read? By the headlines. Yes, that is the first sentence. And we prejudge that headline harshly, just like our prospects prejudge our first sentence. The good news is that if our first sentence is good, our prospects smile and want to know more.

Fun first sentences.

  • “If you have a few minutes, I would like to share with you how you can have an option to retire earlier.”
  • “If you have a few minutes, I would like to share with you how you can have an income when you are ill”
  • “If you have a few minutes, I would like to share with you how you can pay less tax”
  • “If you have a few minutes, I would like to share with you how you can have more peace of mind.”
  • “If you have a few minutes, I would like to share with you how you can get a better return on your savings”
  • “If you have a few minutes, I would like to share with you how you can be in business together.”
  • “If you have a few minutes, I would like to share with you how you can get business tax deductions, just like the big companies.”

Humour?

I'm not a fan of the new pound coin, but then again, I hate all change.

A duck walks into a bar,?

Duck:?"Got any bread?"

Barman: "No."

Duck:?"Got any bread?"

Barman: "No."

Duck:?"Got any bread?"

Barman: "No, and if you ask me again, I'll nail your beak to the bar."

Duck:?"Got any nails?"

Barman: "No."?

Duck:?"Got any bread?"
