It can get Lonely at the TOP.

Why is he getting ahead, and I’m not?? Have you ever wondered why Joe’s getting the promotions, and you’re not?? Why Sally got a big raise, and you didn’t?? Why Roscoe got the big transfer?? And Jerry, how he got the “corner office.”? How can Jim afford both a new house, a ski-boat, and exotic vacations…all at the same time?? Why? Why??

There are many reasons…some worthy, most not so.? It’s said, too, because some sleep their way to the top, some drink their way, others conned their way in some form or manner, and some blackmailed their way.? Most, however, earn their way to the top…by working more hard, more honest, more dependable, more patient, and more loving…along the way; maybe not leaving much for “the family” at home….who are usually…begging for help, of some sort.

The bad guy brags about how he got there… and the hard worker, well, he’s is too busy working to get into the fray.? REMEMBER:? Nothing beats practical experience and the will to win.? Back to the guy who cheats his way up the ladder.? This cheater-guy is destined to fail, and when he falls, he’ll fall real…HARD.? Exceptions?? Sure, there’s always the lucky one who will slip through the crack, but eventually he, too, will get busted; either by early retirement, or some kind of parachute opportunity, or the ‘me-too’ issue… but they will find a way to get rid of the rascal.?

With all that said; people who get ahead by dishonest, or improper means…99% of the time, end up paying the price for their miss-deeds. A few find conversion, and do their best to make up for the wrongs they did to others, along the way…. who were more deserving of the opportunity.? The good guy ultimately wins because… God has his number, and reserves a special place in Heaven… just for him.?

We are told in 3 John 2: "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospers.”? It is, therefore… God's will to prosper our endeavor. If the devil maneuver’s you to believe that the children of God don't prosper… you best reject what evil satan is saying to you. It’s simply not true. A child of God who diligently and honestly works to the best of his abilities, using those “God-given” talents…will receive the blessings of the Lord.

Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans?I have for you,” declares the?Lord, “plans to prosper?you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”? So… there you have it… right out of the mouth of Jesus.
