Can employers really help. . . . . ?
I am sitting at home on my computer contemplating what is actually going on in society now! It is obvious that the number one issue that people are talking about is the standard of living in the UK and beyond our shores is taking its toll on the populace-Cost of living too!
The Government and her PR machinery have to inform the public on how inflation public enemy number one when it comes to creating havoc in peoples wages\salaries has gone from 3.5% to an estimated 9% in a short space of time with fixed disposable income at an all time low. How do families up and down the land keep their heads afloat when during the coming winter, will it be a choice between cutting down heating consumption or having to compromise their shopping expenditure? What a grim thought-sleepless nights, stress. Helplessness and sheer failure?
These suggestions below will go a long way for employers to help their employees have breathing space financially
4.Train fare Allowance I can hear employers say our staff work from home! The point being made here made is that the employer encourages employees to comeback into the office to interact with their co-workers but also helps the shops\ business people to start improving their business and injecting life back into the high street.
5. Parental allowance-This is a very sensitive subject. I will be more than happy for employers to help their staff with incentives for child minders, baby sitting, and available via a data base where (staff\ex staff) helping out their co -workers when they are free ,with voucher incentives attached.
Finally, as a worker myself with over 35 years experience it is important that in these testing times (individually\collectively) we all have a duty to contribute, help and solve different challenges that come our way? I am eager to know if there are any companies in the UK or globally that are implementing any of these initiatives \incentives for their workers , pleas let me know on this platform.
