I am a person who always stays positive and looks on the bright side of life, however from the past few days the world looks more like a terrible place to live in. LinkedIn posts and social media groups are all filled with posts like looking for job opportunities, please consider this profile for any suitable opening, citing that it's too difficult to find hope.
We have somehow lost that human touch; rudeness, burnout, corporate politics, and sorry but not sorry layoffs are spreading like a virus in the organizations.
How can we bring humanity back?
We need to gather the strength again and bring empathy back into the work culture.
Empathy at leadership – Yes, you heard it right. Culture should be built from the top level first, this does not mean it’s the responsibility of the leaders. Everyone has a shared responsibility of having empathy at work because culture is built by its people.?Whatever your title, you won’t win the hearts, minds, or cooperation of your team members unless you make a genuine effort to connect with them on a human level.
Self-awareness leads to empathy. We need to give room to others' thoughts as well by doing that we are empowering them to put across their point of view and that’s where empathy works.
Quiet-quitting is eroding the organizations in the new era. People who are top performers, who once share and discuss their concerns are now leaving the organizations. Leaders should be willing to admit they’re going to make mistakes and they should also be willing to admit they’re on a learning curve — particularly when the company is just acquired or in transition.
Leaders typically don't express gratitude?as often as their team wishes they would, however, if you’re a leader, it’s your responsibility to keep your workforce engaged, connected, and optimistic. Consistently acknowledging others can showcase your professionalism, improve your business relationships, help you stand out as a true team player, and lift your workplace.
It may cost you nothing?to be appreciative, but developing a habit of thankfulness can make a massive difference.?

How can Women leaders step into their power?
Own your strength, know what you are good at, and learn the skill needed to excel in the role you are in, whenever you are presenting your idea first you need to believe in yourself.
How Men can help?
When you see a female leader evolving help them to step up. Keep a check on your egos and think like a professional. Resistance or fear or an unconscious belief structure is destroying the culture of organizations these days. Let’s work together and embrace a culture where men and women work together as a unified group.
Show Gratitude at Work- ?At work, we are often involved in transactional behavior, sometimes while performing our duties we forget the very basic thing which is gratitude. A thankful mindset will help us build relationships with our coworkers which not only help to achieve the tasks assigned to us but also help us in creating a rapport with them.
On that note, I will leave you all with a thought, Empathy is one of many things which you can foster in the culture of your organization. You have nothing to lose. So why not give it a try?
