Recent complaints from the public regarding a popular video conference app crashing has lead to an investigation by ICSIC.
Crypto mining malware was found to be present in the video conference system. The malware will utilize the power of the webserver or devices that download the video conference app.
Crypto coin mining malware communicates with external servers to download additional components or upload mined cryptocurrency, leading to unexpected network traffic.
Crypto mining malware can be disruptive to your computer and servers. Here are some ways in which it can be disruptive:
