Proverbs 29:2: "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan. Leadership and power impact people negatively or postively. Christian leadership should emphazize the importance, value and worth of people. Jesus teaches servant leadership, where true power is exercised in serving others rather than dominating them.
• Cultivate Positive Relationships: Understanding the importance of building and maintaining positive, ethical relationships with colleagues, superiors, and subordinates. Positive and constructive communication is key to building and maintaining strong relationships. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10: "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up." This highlights the importance of collaboration and mutual support in building strong relationships rather than competing.
