Can Birth Control Cause PCOS? / Ozempic, Diet Coke, and Liv Schmidt / Bleeding After a Miscarriage: What’s Normal? ??
Hi friend!
?If you went on hormonal birth control as a teenager and later stopped taking it (in your 20s or 30s) only to?discover irregular periods, you are not alone.?Many women find themselves in this situation, which often raises bigger concerns: Is there a connection between birth control and menstrual irregularities? Could hormonal contraception somehow be linked to Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)?
Recently, there’s been growing speculation, especially on social media, about whether birth control can cause PCOS. But is this theory grounded in actual evidence, or is it just another Internet myth that needs debunking? Let's clear up?some common misconceptions.?
What's Trending: Ozempic, Diet Coke, and Liv Schmidt
From body-positive influencers to dietitians who have worked to establish the idea that you can be healthy, worthy, and beautiful at any size to people sharing unedited photos of their bodies to prove that the images we’ve been fed throughout the past few decades are all manufactured to create an unrealistic standard, we’ve made real progress.?
But recently, that progress has been threatened. It all started with the Ozempic craze. Soon, it evolved into resurfacing the phrase "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels." And then came "thin-fluencers" like Liv Schmidt, who gained a massive following on TikTok for posting “what I eat in a day to stay skinny" videos. (Yes, you read that right.)
Ultimately, Schmidt was banned from the app, but this still begs the question: Are we slowly sliding back to a world centered on thinness??We certainly hope not.?
