Can AI (help) innovate?

I've been testing if LLMs, and in particular ChatGPT's Custom GPTs, would be able to come up with innovative ideas, especially for products or services.

Based on what I have tried and seen, I believe they are capable of doing so. Below I'm sharing some simple examples that my currently basic Custom GPT generated based on the given prompt. It provides some interesting ideas although some may not be feasible yet nor may they actually solving a problem.

However, as we all know, sometimes it does takes some time before it may be feasible to (commercially) create or for customers to realize they may actually want it. After all, Science fiction generated ideas decades before they became reality and when even the internet and mobile phones were created many actually did not think there would be a need for it.

I will fine-tune the GPT further to take those things into account as well as enable it being able to double-check if the idea is referenced somewhere on the internet or in Google's patent database (and if not, I'd like it to draft the entire patent submission as well !). Theoretically I could even run this on 'the back-end' so for maybe 50 dollars per day I could generate - and check - thousands of ideas and proposals 24/7.
