Can an AI agent completely replace UX as we know today?

I was considering an interesting gedankenexperiment -?

Can an AI agent completely replace UX as we know today? Ie could the UX be completely transparent through an AI agent?

We are not talking of a simple chat interface. We are talking instead of a radical overhaul of the system - and I am exploring this in our teaching.

Can the UX be transparent even for something as complex as an ERP system?

Let’s explore this

Designing an agent as the sole interface to an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is a daunting task.?

Such an agent would need to first understand user needs and workflow? (e.g., finance, HR, supply chain management etc).

Then the agent would need to define the functions performed in the ERP system for example : data retrieval, transaction processing, report generation, and workflow management. Some of these it may perform and others it may invoke through APIs.?

Master data configuration (customer information, vendor details, product specifications,? employee data etc) is another complex task as is integration with external systems.

To implement these tasks, we could potentially map fields directly from documents using named entity recognition and then develop a schema using a knowledge graph.?

In a broader sense, you could rethink system development driven by test driven development with a combination of product discovery and code generation. I proposed this idea in the Enterprise AGI methodology?

A more advanced future could be based on UX by AI agents as per this post from? Martina Sartor

So, Can an AI agent completely replace UX as we know today? i.e. could the UX be completely transparent through an AI agent?

I believe so in the near future.?

Our AI course is fully oversubscribed - a month out from the start date -? but you can meet us in Oxford at the AI Summit at the University of Oxford.???

If anyone gets the uncanny valley vibes that AI is puking out nowadays, I think the answer is a firm no.

Thank you for sharing this insightful perspective! Choosing ERP is indeed an excellent decision! The integration of AI agents into UX is a powerful move, harmonizing human intuition with artificial intelligence for a transformative user experience. The evolution of ERP systems has been notable, yet it lags behind the rapid pace of technological advancements. Drawing from my experience as a Product professional, I've witnessed the shift from the Mobile First paradigm in the Smart Phone era to the AI-first era. This AI journey has traversed the Descriptive and Diagnostic phases, progressing seamlessly into the Predictive domain. Now, the world beckons a visionary approach, emphasizing AR/VR/XR, coupled with Prescriptive and IoT methodologies. It's time to embrace a future where these transformative technologies take the lead – an era where innovation knows no bounds. Exciting times lie ahead, and I eagerly await further insights from industry experts. #AIinUX #FutureTech #DigitalTransformation

Spot on question Ajit, as usual, and the ERP example fairly specific... and I wonder also about more universal UX examples ... TV remote/guide, smart home/things, or even car dashboard/controls ... would those be more or less complex than specialized apps?

I am super interested in this stuff and pondering about it myself. Great to see that the idea has legs.

I think we are already there. It's just a matter of optimizing humanity needs [prioritized] with 100% successful service bots [mastering designated processes]. If we can production top 100 avatars of the world that can diffuse and cascade that would be a GTM solution.
