New Trustees
At the October meeting of the Bradley University Board of Trustees, new members and new officers were elected. These new members and officers are dedicated to Bradley, and I know they have set our future success as a top priority. You can read online about their accomplishments and what incredible leaders they are. These new positions will take effect in February.
Strategic Plan
The Board of Trustees approved the university's strategic plan proposal. The next step is already underway, as the committee is meeting weekly to develop specific action plans that will help us to achieve our bold goals. In order to facilitate a transparent process, we will periodically invite input and feedback from the campus community. Watch for updates on how you can be involved.
NCAA
I have been appointed as the Missouri Valley Conference representative on the NCAA Presidential forum. This advisory body works with the NCAA Division I Board of Directors. One representative from each conference is part of the forum, and we will work together to make sure our collective voice is heard.
#GivingTuesday
The Tuesday after Thanksgiving is known globally as #GivingTuesday. You can impact our students' lives in a meaningful way by supporting on this day of giving. This opportunity gives everyone the chance to #BtheDifference on the Hilltop. I hope you will consider participating by giving to Bradley's #GivingTuesday effort.
New Street Signs
Have you noticed the campus area is a bit more red? The new Bradley-branded street signs are up around campus. This initiative came from the Glasser Endowed Tradition and Spirit Award that was established to support initiatives that develop campus traditions and invigorate school spirit, and this project certainly does that. They look great, and I extend a thank you to everyone who worked on the project.
Construction
The construction project continues to progress as planned. Some highlights of the recent activities include: the continued formation of basement walls, installation of underground plumbing and electrical conduit, the formation of grade beams and the installation of foundational waterproofing along the east wall of the basement.
