Matt Gaetz as Attorney General

Trump just picked Matt Gaetz for Attorney General. Yahoo thinks it's because Trump wants loyalists in key spots, hinting Gaetz will help “end weaponized government” and protect borders.

CNBC notes Gaetz's role as AG could mean major DOJ reforms. Gaetz was cleared by the DOJ after a sex-trafficking probe, but an ethics investigation lingers.

This Redditor can't believe it -- this dude is actually disbarred in Florida, and was under investigation for sex trafficking! What an awful pick, he's completely unqualified.

CBS News : Looks like DOJ lawyers will have to listen to him though -- maybe some will resign if they don't want to carry out his policy goals.

Campus poster scandal

The University of Rochester is investigating an incident where “wanted” posters targeting Jewish faculty, staff, and university leaders were found on campus. The Guardian says the action was noticed by figures like Chuck Schumer, who slammed it as antisemitism.

The Hill says the posters were related to alleged war crimes in Gaza -- but several individuals depicted on the poster appear to be targeted for their Jewish identity.

This Redditor thinks the university must do more to address the rise of antisemitism on campus: Condemning the posters isn't enough. The university needs to expel the people responsible.

For what it's worth, CNN says the incident at the University of Rochester only amplifies concerns over antisemitic actions on college campuses.
