The Campfire

The allure of a campfire is hard to describe. People congregate, watching the flames sparkle as the evening darkens and the stars emerge. The air chills, yet the warmth of the fire keeps you toasty, along with a hot toddy or cold beer. An invite to a campfire brings out the socials and introverts. It is inviting to all.
On a crisp autumn night, we try to hold on to the warm weather that will soon be put to rest, and we traditionally retreat inside in the next season. Campfire heat warms the wintry air, feeling the radiating warmth, holding hands toward it, and watching them glow. Then spring appears, and we celebrate life in the rebirth of plants, birds, flowers, and warm weather. I can’t wait to go outside after hibernation and camp as summer approaches.
The best parties are when guests are relaxed and rejuvenated around the campfire. Sitting, standing, and socializing around the campfire brings the finest out of people, with conversations flowing freely. Individuals from all walks of life enjoy the fresh air mixing and mingling.
We go camping, anticipating the best part of the night, sitting around a campfire roasting marshmallows and making the delicious smores that transport us back to our youth. The campfire glows with the hearty memories of years past. And sometimes, when alone in our thoughts, the campfire crackle is all that can be heard. It comes to bring light and heat to the heart and soul.?
