Camp Quality for kids living with cancer...
Hi,
I have just returned from being a volunteer on the Camp Quality Wellington/Central Districts winter camp for kids living with cancer. What an amazing group of kids and supporters. So much fun built into the camp for the kids: archery, bonfire with marshmallows and s 'mores, rock-climbing wall, waterslide, mini golf, swimming pool with hydro slide, plate and mug painting, driftwood art, cards, Yikers, Frisbee, cricket, games night, GPS orienteering and so on. Definitely returned home for a rest!
So great to put smiles on so many kids faces, especially as they have not been able to have a physical camp for so long due to the pandemic and their special health challenges.
Next moth I will be taking part in the Big Challenge for Little Kids to raise funds for the camps. We get no government funding, so rely on individuals and organisations for support and funds. I will be dressing up as a Star Wars character at Wellington Airport on 14 October and trying to greet as many people as I can on the day. Looking forward to seeing you there!
If you would like to support the kids of Camp Quality who are living with cancer, here is a link to the Give A Little Page. https://givealittle.co.nz/fundraiser/camp-quality-big-challenge-for-little-kids.
Thank you on behalf of the kids for any support you are able to give.
Now back to the day job as Managing Partner of Rainey Collins Lawyers.
Kind regards
Alan
