How was your beginning in QSRP?

Originally, I arrived in Burger King Italy as an intern. When the internship was about to end, I was given the opportunity to enter the Graduate Program. At the time, the program was being rolled out for the first time. I would have been amongst the first young people to do it, and it seemed very exciting.

What about your rotations?

My first rotation was in Italy, as an Operational Controller. I did that for 6-7 months, and then I moved to Germany, in Nordsee, for my second rotation as a Financial Controller. Other 7 months and I jumped to marketing, function I still am in now.

What have been the biggest challenges?

The challenges I had actually were also big opportunities. Let’s take my second rotation as example; I never did finance before, and I did not know what to expect. But doing it meant learning a lot, and I also realized that I could go beyond my comfort zone with no problem.

Also, you get many responsibilities and you are very stimulated; it might seem stressful, but it is actually a good pressure and just that right amount to make you grow and not to overwhelm you. But you have to deal with it.

Now that time has gone – what are the biggest takeaways from those challenges?

I think I am less afraid of making mistakes– I learned that they are part of the game; and this is also the spirit of the company. Also, I learned that the important is staying open; you cannot be ready for everything, you cannot expect what will happen. You just can learn how to be adaptive to change and jump into the unknown.

From a professional point of view, the greatest asset of the graduate, once finished, is having a 360 view on the business; and that enables you to do things far way better. ?
