Cameroon RENEWED: Journey of the Cameroon RenewED Team in the Netherlands

Journey of the Cameroon RenewED Team in the Netherlands

We’re excited to bring you the latest updates from our journey in the Netherlands as part of the Cameroon RENEWED project. This initiative, co-funded by the EU , is a testament to our commitment to empower the youth of Cameroon with skills in Renewable Energy and Social Entrepreneurship.

Our team has been immersed in a series of enriching training sessions since January 22, 2024. These sessions, facilitated by our esteemed partners Noorderpoort, Apro Formazione, MasterPeace, have provided Cameroon partners Society for the Promotion of initiatives in Sustainable Development and Welfare (SOPISDEW) Cameroon, H4BF Cameroon, and @FAP NGO with insights and knowledge.

We’ve also had the opportunity to visit pioneering businesses and renewable energy sites, including Vanhulley and the New Energy Business School.

Cameroon RenewED Team visit to Vanhulley

One of the highlights of our trip was our visit to Vanhulley, a remarkable social enterprise that transforms old clothes into essential items. They provide a one-year training and work program for women, offering them the opportunity to gain work experience in their sewing workshop. Their innovative approach to sustainability and social empowerment resonated deeply with us. From boxers to backpacks, every product at Vanhulley is made with love and courage. This innovative approach resonates with our mission at SOPISDEW, and we’re eager to incorporate these learnings into our programs in Cameroon.

On the other hand, the New Energy Business School is a leading institution in the energy sector. It offers an outstanding education that combines solid theoretical grounding with high practical use. They offer a variety of programs, including an Executive MBA and a postgraduate course. Their approach prepares students for the dynamic and challenging future of the energy business

As we continue our journey, we’re more committed than ever to our goal: to equip the youth of Cameroon with the skills they need to drive change in their communities and contribute to a sustainable future. We believe that through education and innovation, we can ignite lasting change.

Stay tuned for more updates from our journey!
