Reference text: Joshua 1:1-9

Earlier this week during my devotional time, I read a familiar passage of scripture that contained the words “it came to pass”.? This phrase is sprinkled throughout the Bible over 400 times! ?As many times as I’ve read the beginning verses of the book of Joshua, it’s as if those four words were in bold font, and they made me stop reading. ?I’ve been grappling with some major challenges, and the strong message contained within those four little words – 12 letters and 3 spaces – gave me the assurance that this and that will pass.? Life won’t always be like this.? Life will get better.

Today may feel impossible.? The outlook may be grim.?

Whatever it is that you’re facing right now, know that it came, and it will pass.? Let us glean every lesson and every blessing from it before it passes on.

I encourage you today to take those 12 letters and hold on to them tightly by faith as you move forward in strength and courage.? Allow God to fill the spaces, whether there are 3 or 3,000.? He knows just what we need.

The Lord bless you and keep you.? The Lord make His face shine upon you.? The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.? ?- Numbers 6:24-26 NKJV
