Lives, entangled with others’ lives

Like secret cables, intertwined.

Some crossing gently through pre-destined paths,

Others, knotted, causing pain and complications.

Twisted in many directions.

Are we meant to keep our cables straight?

How lonely that could be.

Or do we untangle not to be alone?
