Calumniating our character
If there was a penny for every time we punished ourselves for faults of others leading to assumption that we compelled them to do it, we could own fortunes.
A splash of water across the face , within tiny droplets embedded upon the mirror, one could see their own reflections and bemoan upon their past mistakes. What is it, instilled within the human nature that compels them to act in a sadistic fashion.
For every time someone orphaned you absconding their affinity for you, you blame your own actions that may have led to this atrocity in your terms. You may have demanded a reciprocal of what you did by keeping their cup filled and your empty. This may have caused it, or some other reason such as being yourself may have caused it.
The list of futile reasons that cause others to do what might or might not be your own doings, is an infinite one. It is not a sign of weak character, this is a sign of a person who out pours themselves on others for their good.
So, do not blame yourself, you are and always will be strong. Look into the mirror and embrace that you may have put all the eggs in wrong basket, and it’s okay. The strong willed is never defeated.
