Callistemon viminalis Slim? PP24444

Callistemon viminalis Slim? PP24444

Greetings from sizzling AZ!

Sizzle, Bake or Fry? No matter what word you prefer to use, it’s downright hot across the west and predicted to be even hotter next week. Yikes!

Despite the heat, the plants keep growing and we have some amazing product to offer for the upcoming fall season. In fact, we even have a new offering, Callistemon viminalis Slim? PP24444. This selection has a more modest size and grows more narrow, so it’s perfect for sheared or informal hedges that will bloom profusely in spring and again in fall. This lovely selection brings a beautiful, colorful solution for giving privacy in tighter spaces. Be sure to grow Callistemon viminalis Slim? PP24444 in full sun when possible for maximum bloom, although a little shade is okay too. Callistemon are certainly known for being drought tolerant, but like any living thing, they appreciate infrequent deep waterings to pull their roots deeper into the soil. Last thing I’ll mention is that like all Callistemons, you should expect the flowers to attract bees so keep that in mind when you’re designing if there’s a concern. Currently we have very nice 15g and 24’s to offer.

Check out the attached photos and don’t forget the photo link below with all kinds of goodies! Remember, it’s time to start thinking about fall so take a quick look and see what I’m talking about. We’re rolling trucks so let us know how we can help. ??

Have a great weekend and try to stay cool my friends!

Thanks!

We used these on a design. Not built yet, so no photos... yet

Wendy- I've used these a few times this year. They are gorgeous. They make a nice size screen, are very drought tolerant while also full and verdant green. And yes, the bees (and the hummingbirds!) love their prolific, vibrant and seemingly never ending bottlebrush flowers. Stay safe- stay strong everyone.
