Calling for Collaboration: Prioritizing Digital Health Education in Medical Universities
Hey everyone!
As we all know, the COVID-19 pandemic has brought immense changes to the world of healthcare. One of the most significant changes we have seen is the importance of telehealth in providing access to medical care. However, as we adapt to these changes, we have also seen a lack of education and training in digital health for healthcare professionals, especially those in medical universities.
Digital health education has become more critical than ever, and medical universities should prioritize it in their curriculums. Healthcare professionals need to learn about the latest technologies and tools to provide quality care through telehealth. By doing so, they can improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and increase access to care.
It's essential to provide comprehensive training that covers topics such as telemedicine, digital health tools, and data analytics. This will not only enhance the quality of care but also help to better understand patient needs, reduce healthcare disparities, and ultimately save lives.
In light of these observations, I would like to ask for your opinion. What do you think about the current state of digital health education in medical universities? What steps do you think we can take to address the challenges and bridge the gaps in digital health education?

1 年Yes! Yes! I teach 3rd year med students an introduction course about opening the digital front door. They are not being taught about digital health in their clinics or rotations. I would love to be included in your discussions !
