Calling Apprentices and Trainees to Build a Garden at RHS Hampton Court Flower Show
Opportunity to help build a show garden at Hampton Court.
Many of you are aware of the “Go Landscape” Initiative and its work in promoting the industry as a whole to the young, up and coming would be landscapers and designers of the future.
Multi Award Winning designer Andy Sturgeon has agreed with the RHS to design a garden at this year’s Hampton Court with a theme that is going to be about reusing and recycling many of the features from previous show gardens. The BBC are very interested in this and there will be some great coverage I am sure.
It is a fantastic opportunity for apprentices or trainees to be involved in one of the largest flower shows in the country.
You just need to apply and offer your help, you can pick the days you wish to attend, (YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE THERE FOR THE ENTIRE BUILD)
This collaborative venture will see APL and Bali award winning contractors there to assist in mentoring the team and there will be some funds available for expenses including, travel, food and possibly accommodation.
In the first instance we are looking for about 15 volunteers from companies who may have apprentices or trainees that would see value in the experience for their member of staff. Build dates will start around 20th June
If you are interested and have a trainee or an apprentice that would value this opportunity then please contact Phil Tremayne (APL General Manager) [email protected] as soon as possible, or fill out the form on the Bali website events section.
Closing Date for Applications of interest June 9th. Selection will be made June 16th.
This is a great opportunity to be involved in something that will generate a lot of publicity, promote the industry in a positive light to those who may be considering it as a career and a truly cross association initiative, so don’t miss out!!
