Calling all SME business owners

I’ve posted several articles over the past few weeks aimed at small business owners who either don’t have an in-house HR resource or who have a stand-alone HR professional, who is just so busy dealing with operational HR, that they simply don’t have time to take on anything non-operational or strategic.

Like my article on the importance of keeping up-to-date with the changes to employment law which is particularly important with the new government in situ and their proposed changes under the “Make Work Pay” initiative.? These changes will require companies to review their contracts, policies and procedures which can be time consuming on top of the day-to-day operations.

Or my article on why it pays to invest in culture because as a company grows, the culture needs to be evolved deliberately.? This is done through defining and communicating core values and behaviours and ensuring these are integrated into all HR processes.? Regularly reviewing the cultural framework as the company grows ensures it remains relevant and continues to support the company’s goals.

Or the one on the benefits of hiring a portfolio HR professional for ad-hoc project work, strategic HR support or to complement existing HR resource during busy periods.

As a business owner myself, I appreciate that there are simply so many things to do and to keep on top of.?
