Whilst we already recognise the achievements of startups and scaleups, it is fair to say that mid-sized businesses are often the unsung heroes of the UK economy.
These firms represent less than 1% of all businesses but research shows that they account for 22% of economic revenue and 16% of employment.
They also play a crucial role in driving productivity, innovation, and export-led growth and yet often do not receive the recognition they deserve.
That is why we're launching launching the Great British Industry Awards in partnership with Allica Bank to shine a spotlight on these vital contributors, celebrating the achievements of mid-sized firms in all sectors and regions of the UK and fostering a supportive community.
