Calling all Leading Ladies!
Leading Ladies: A Retreat for Women in the Senior Space

Calling all Leading Ladies!

Twenty years ago, I set out on a career journey in senior living, by chance, that would take me places across the US and Canada. My experience along the way developed my leadership skills and produced everlasting friendships that would fuel my soul to impact others in a similar way.

Along my career ladder climb, I was fortunate to be surrounding by dynamic, intelligent women like April K. Johnson Suggs, MBA , Juli Navarrete , Nina Cohn , Beth Radio , Chandra Stradling , Jill Berry , Michelle Minor , Virginia Dollard , Cory Benson , Rebecca Price , Erin Siffing , Stephanie Sanderoff , Morgan Lamphere , Laurie Tupper , Kathy Cherwin , Nancy King , Nancy Shepherd , Nicole Giroir, MBA , Kellie Brockman , English Edwards , Nicole Clagett , Jennifer McGovern , Janice Judd , Angela Steventon , Rita Altman , Sandra Kerstetter , Emily Davis , Abby See , Kelley Skarp , Kelcey Sachs , Jill Spivey , and so many others. These women guided, supported and offered me invaluable training, coaching and friendship; each of them having a profound impact on my growth. Two of the very best, Kelly Singleton Myers and Jessica Phaup are now my chosen business partners. In addition to being surrounded by amazing women leaders, I was introduced to retreats by my yoga teacher, Ashley Nunn. Both of these things kept me grounded in my journey from community sales to community operations, to regional sales, to a start up division in Medicare Advantage to new development and ultimately to field sales all while being a wife, a dog mom, a kid mom, and eventually a caregiver. Believe me, some days I wanted to jump off of the deep end. I am sure you can relate.

I cannot begin to explain how incredibly important it is to have the support of other women in the field along your journey and to purposefully carve time out to think. We are better leaders and better humans when we synergize and we can certainly make a bigger impact on seniors and their families, the people we lead and this industry when we're bonded together.

So, today, on behalf of our team at KJB Sales Consulting LLC , I introduce to you my passion project- Leading Ladies: A Live Well, Lead Well, Retreat for women leaders in the senior space.

The first Leading Ladies Retreat will take place on May 3-5 in North Carolina. Nestled on 40 acres of land just off shore at Lake Gaston, this modern farmhouse is the perfect setting for a weekend of experiences that will encourage us to live well AND lead well. The weekend will be a time to rejuvenate, reflect, engage and recharge. It will consist of activities that include a workshop on living well and a workshop on leading well. We have intentionally designed these retreats to stay intimate. This retreat will have 5-7 spots available so you'll want to make sure you sign up early to secure your participation. It is open to all women that serve seniors that want to expand on what it means to live well and lead well.

And no, I am not doing all the leading. I'm super excited to be introducing you to a colleague and friend, Jennifer Grote . Jennifer is a trained by Duke Integrative Health, Board Certified Health Coach and Strengths Champion Certified Coach that specializes in facilitating individuals, managers and teams to leverage their innate talents to achieve more.

Jennifer and I met over a decade ago when she was working for a home care and hospice company and I was working in assisted living. We immediately connected over our desire to improve collaboration among providers so that we could better care for seniors. Fast forward, I asked her to join me on this passion project and she didn't hesitate to say yes.

If you are interested in signing up, head on over to our website and click the contact tab. Fill out the form and leave Leading Ladies in the message or drop me a line on Linked In. We will personally contact you with all the details. You can also email us at [email protected] .
