"Professor Reynolds was my very first Paralegal Instructor, [Senior Law Instructor, Department Chairman & Corporate Job Developer, at InterCoast Colleges, Orange County] and I will never forget some of the very important lessons I have learned from her. She is very passionate about her profession, and is a very powerful and motivational speaker. I'm very grateful to have met her, and am fortunate to say that Mrs. Reynolds was also a Mentor as well as a friend to me. There was a time when my career was on hold, and I began to look to other options...Mrs. Reynolds, in no uncertain terms let me know that I was basically too talented to not pursue my legal career. Mrs. Reynolds speaks her mind, while inspiring and uplifting others, encouraging them to be the best they can. I am proud to know her, and to have been a student of her instruction. I have no doubt that whatever she sets out to do, will not only get done, but it will get done in a big way. When I interviewed at the school, her classroom was next to the interview room. I heard Mrs. Reynolds lecturing and asked the Interviewer: "Who Is that!? Is she going to be my Teacher?" The rest is history.

"Prof. Reynolds, [Senior Law Instructor, West Los Angeles College, American Bar Association Approved Paralegal Studies Program], is a great instructor who is in tune with what paralegals encounter in the real world. She understands that there is no book that teaches you how to be a paralegal - it's about being resourceful and solving issues as they arise. Prof. Reynolds gave me the practical foundation required to be a paralegal. Thank you."

Barb Reynolds was one of my teachers at the American Bar Association approved Paralegal Program at the West Los Angeles Community College. Graduation from this program enables graduates to be officially recognized by the State of California as a "Certified Paralegal". I took two courses with Ms. Reynolds, both of which were superb. Her dedication to her students, and vast reservoir of knowledge has given me a definite edge in my career.
After graduating from the program, I was able to obtain a position with the Department of the Attorney General for the State of Hawaii, in the Employment Law Division. I started as a Legal Clerk in August of 2006. Within two years, I was first promoted to a Paralegal level I, and then promoted an additional two levels to a Paralegal level III and began working in the Criminal Justice Division for the Attorney General here in Hawaii. On December 6, 2008, I took the LSAT and was admitted to the University of Hawaii, William Richardson School of Law and since have been admitted to the State Bar as an Attorney. I know there is no way I could have accomplished all of this without the magnificent training I received from Ms. Reynolds. I have thanked her many times before, but will post an additional "Mahalo Nui" for the gift of knowledge she imparted with such dedication.

I have always been impressed with Ms. Reynolds’ paralegal knowledge and experience. With more than 40+ years practicing and teaching in the paralegal profession, Ms. Reynolds has a unique perspective of what it takes to provide exemplary paralegal services to today’s lawyers.
Not only has Ms. Reynolds dedicated a substantial portion of her time and life to teaching paralegal skills and ethics to others, Ms. Reynolds has also worked closely with the local bar associations across the state, and their lawyers, to update the paralegal skills necessary to compete in today’s technology- oriented world.
It’s been a true pleasure getting to know Ms. Reynolds and I someday look forward to having paralegals that she has taught assist my firm with our legal needs.

Barb Reynolds was my law professor at West Los Angeles College. As a legal instructor in the American Bar Association Approved Paralegal Program, Professor Reynolds always made her students a priority. Her love and enthusiasm for teaching made the subject matter she taught very informative, interesting and easy to understand. Not all law professors have this gift. Besides being an excellent instructor, her knowledge of the law and her vast experience in the legal profession was extraordinary and left a lasting and memorable impression on me. She was instrumental in helping the paralegal program achieve ABA accreditation. She is one of the reasons why I decided to go to law school. She inspired and motivated me to pursue my dream. It was an honor and privilege to be her student. Professor Reynolds is exemplary and a valuable asset to West Los Angeles College's paralegal program and to the legal profession.

Barb Reynolds taught several classes I attended in 2004, at the West Los Angeles College, Paralegal Certificate Degree Program. She is smart, knowledgeable, and inspirational. She makes the complex understandable, and gets her students to quote: "You Got To Know You Know, What You Know"
