A young Kyrgyz woman is dragged into a car by a group of men and taken to a remote village. The clan women are already waiting for her to tie a white headscarf around her. After this gesture she is considered married and has to serve the family of her strange husband. – NGOs estimate that in Kyrgyzstan a woman is kidnapped every 30 minutes. This tradition is called "Ala kachuu", which means "take and run away". 

"ALA KACHUU - Take and Run" will also be the title of our film, which deals with bride kidnapping and draws attention to the many fates of young Kyrgyz women.

Thanks to the Zurich Film Foundation and the Federal Office of Culture, we are already 60% financed. In order to actually be able to shoot, we try to achieve the remaining budget with our crowdfunding campaign.
