THE CALL TO PURPOSE

Dr. Myles Munroe [of blessed memory] once referred to a quote in one of his publications as follows:

"The greatest tragedy in life is a life lived without PURPOSE".

What a profound statement!!

And so many of us are living our lives without a clear sense of purpose or direction.

Over the last few years, I have been pondering deeply over the subject of Purpose. I have read several publications on this subject matter, interviewed hundreds of job applicants and interacted with hundreds of participants in training sessions that I have facilitated on this subject of purpose.

From these interactions and from further conversations with thought leaders in Management and Human Resource Consulting, I have come to the point where I believe that every single one of us is called to a Purpose in life.

For some of us, we are blessed with so much talent and ability that we often get confused as to which direction to take in life. For some of us, we have found that thing called Purpose and are running with it.

I went through several phases and tribulations before finding my reason for being [Purpose]. It is the struggles that I went through as I sought to find my Purpose that inspired me to enter the realm of HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT.

For many Ghanaians and Africans, Neil has largely been defined by Football and Sports....I find that Football is also very much about Human Capital Development for it essentially revolves around the talents that we discover,, develop and deploy for the benefit of all stakeholders.

Having found my Purpose in Human Capital Development, I wake up every morning with a sense of mission and a clear view of what I must do to fulfill that purpose!!!

IT IS SUCH AN UNBELIEVABLY WONDERFUL FEELING!!! IT IS SO LIBERATING TO WAKE UP EACH DAY WITH A CLEAR SENSE OF DIRECTION AND A GENERAL SENSE OF WELL-BEING, not necessarily drawing upon what one has in one's pocket, but just BECAUSE I KNOW THAT I AM LIVING A LIFE OF PURPOSE, AN EXPERIENCE THAT PRECIOUS FEW EVER FIND IN THEIR DAYS ON THIS PLANET WE CALL EARTH.

Indeed, I have found and am responding to THE CALL TO PURPOSE.

WE MUST ALL FIND PURPOSE!

WE MUST LIVE LIVES OF PURPOSE!!

For anyone reading this who is yet to clearly identify your reason for being, please do not despair. Millions of human beings live their lives without ever finding their purpose....but you can become one of those persons who finds his or her purpose and lives it out to the fullest!!!
