Call for Proposals for projects in the Salish Sea

Call for Proposals for projects in the Salish Sea

From seals and salmon to sailing and shipping—there’s a lot going on in the Salish Sea. You may wonder: how are these waters and the life they contain being managed and protected?

There are hundreds of actions being taken to protect the environment, keep people safe and support economic activity in the Salish Sea, involving governments, Indigenous Peoples and coastal communities, environmental organizations and industry.

Transport Canada’s Oceans Protection Plan team in British Columbia is bringing these groups together virtually and in-person in Vancouver for the 2024 Salish Sea Symposium on January 23 and 24, 2024.

Proposals for key-note speeches, panels, sessions and information booths for the Symposium are now being accepted. This is an opportunity to showcase the programs, partnerships, research or initiatives your organization is delivering to keep Salish Sea waters safe, healthy and supportive of economic activity, now and into the future. Interested presenters may reach out to [email protected] for more information.
