Dear Colleagues,
Clean energy is increasingly important in the global energy consumption and for the energy system transition from fossil fuels. As one of the cleanest energy carriers, hydrogen is being widely used and technologies for advanced applications are being developed, including the utilization of hydrogen and/or hydrogen-containing compounds to generate other forms of energy with high conversion efficiency. It also provides overwhelming social, economic and environmental benefits, and represents a potentially unlimited resource. However, some issues still exist that urgently need to be solved before the large-scale application of hydrogen-based technologies as a replacement for fossil fuels.
Herein, we are inviting researchers to contribute an original research article, review article, perspective, technical note, or case study in a broad range of topics for the Special Issue on “Hydrogen Separation, Production and Storage” in International Journal of Hydrogen Energy. The aim of this Special Issue is to publish recent technological innovations in the development and approaches in hydrogen separation, utilization, production, and storage.
The topics of this Special Issue include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Hydrogen separation/purification
- Hydrogen production
- Hydrogen utilization
- Hydrogen storage
- Renewable energy-based hydrogen
- Hydrogen-related catalysis
- Fuel cell
