Call for Papers - Journal of Higher Education Management

The Journal of Higher Education Management is published under the auspices and sponsorship of the American Association of University Administrators . The Association’s purpose in doing so is to provide opportunities: (a) for the discussion of the current issues, problems, and challenges facing higher education; (b) for the exchange of practical wisdom and techniques in the areas of higher education leadership, policy analysis and development, and institutional management; and (c) for the identification and explication of the principles and standards of college and university administration.

The Journal is published on the association’s website and is available to any interested person without charge. We project that the next Journal will be published in June 2024.

Authors should be guided by the following submission requirements for contributors on the Journal Guideline page.

Manuscripts should be written for the college or university administrator with the general responsibilities of educational leadership, policy analysis, staff development, and/or institutional management. Practical as well as scholarly-oriented submissions are welcome. We encourage submissions from authors in the United States and throughout the world. If you are from outside the United States, we would accept proposed articles as long as they are written broadly and include topics that have applicability to the American higher education community.

All manuscripts submitted for JHEM publication are blind-reviewed and are published only upon the favorable recommendation of three reviewers. (The journal’s acceptance rate of reviewed manuscripts during the period of 2018-2023 is 40 percent.)

The Journal charges no publishing or page-cost fee, nor are authors remunerated for their work. ?Authors are required to assign their copyright entitlements to the Journal. ?All manuscripts should be submitted electronically to the Editor at [email protected]. ?

The deadline for receipt of manuscripts for the upcoming issue is March 1, 2024.
